MNS iPDU Precision Distribution Cabinet (US Standard)
The MNS iPDU Precision Distribution Cabinet provides enhanced safety and reliability for power distribution systems. Developed to meet the intelligent technology requirements of customers, it is a smart and precise distribution cabinet suitable for critical users such as telecommunications, finance, government, IT data centers, and industrial enterprises. It provides power distribution, safety protection, metering, operation management, and data-level grounding services for critical equipment, and is used in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) applications with high reliability requirements. It offers high-quality low-voltage technology solutions to ensure power continuity, especially for data centers of various availability levels with high reliability requirements.
A data center distribution cabinet originates from the distribution cabinet typically placed at the beginning of a row of IT cabinets, serving as the terminal distribution cabinet for power distribution and protection of one or more rows of IT cabinets. Distribution cabinets are typically connected to upstream distribution cabinets in a radial distribution configuration or via a trunk-like distribution configuration using a main busbar. Each output circuit breaker of the row-mounted power distribution unit (LHTU) connects to the PDUs of each IT cabinet, forming a traditional terminal power distribution system for a data center. The capacity of each LHTU ranges from 100 to 400A.
The row-mounted power distribution system in a data center is a typical radial power distribution system, where the main distribution cabinet directly supplies power to the LHTUs and loads. Each load receives power independently; in the event of a fault, the fault is limited to that load and does not affect other circuits, fully meeting the technical requirements of current national standards for critical power loads.
Key Advantages:
1. Similar appearance and structure to IT server racks, better compatible with data center layouts.
2. Online replacement and expansion of the bus system ensures uninterrupted system operation.
3. Large HMI for convenient data query and configuration.
4. Multiple communication methods for flexible integration with backend systems.
5. Meets ETL, UL, CE, CSA, and IEC certification standards.
The MNS iPDU data center power distribution cabinet is a compact cabinet specifically designed for power distribution to sensitive loads in computer rooms and data centers, based on UL standard low-voltage power distribution cabinets. It includes branch circuit power distribution, surge protection, computer-grade grounding, isolation, and professional power monitoring and management. The MNS iPDU data center power distribution cabinet can be integrated with Static Switching Systems (STS), Load Bus Synchronization Devices (LBS), and Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems (UPS) to form a high-end integrated solution.
The cabinet frame is made of high-quality aluminum-zinc coated steel, and all metal structural components are treated with anti-corrosion coatings. The cabinet surface is made of cold-rolled steel, while the internal partitions are made of aluminum-zinc coated steel. The cabinet dimensions conform to internationally recognized standard cabinet sizes, ensuring seamless integration with the data center environment. The front features a double-door design; the outer door is a mesh door, allowing direct observation of equipment operation, with a perforation rate exceeding 60%. The left and right side panels are easily removable, enabling front, back, and side maintenance.
The cabinet is fully enclosed with internally partitioned compartments, allowing for flexible overhead cabling. The surface has a textured finish and is coated with epoxy powder electrostatic spraying. Tmax circuit breakers offer a higher performance-to-size ratio compared to similar products. The entire series can be equipped with electronic trip units (PR 221 DS) and thermal-magnetic trip units (TMD/TMA) to meet intelligent power distribution requirements; Tmax circuit breakers can also be equipped with shunt trip units for emergency power cut-off in the data center. All Tmax circuit breakers are available in fixed mounting configurations. Models T2, T3, T4, and T5 also offer plug-in mounting options for quick replacement. The new generation of Smissline TP is safer, easier to operate, and more convenient to connect. The new design, coupled with a perfect busbar system, offers advantages in safety and reliability. It provides excellent value, saving significant time and costs during system installation and maintenance. Safety: Busbar Touch Protection
The Smissline TP pluggable terminal distribution busbar system's mechanism itself prevents contact with live parts, making it relatively safe for fingers to touch when plugging and unplugging electrical devices (IPXXB).
This means Smissline TP ensures personnel are protected from any switch arcing or fault arcing. Installers no longer need personal protective equipment; installation, operation, and system expansion can now be performed more safely, quickly, and efficiently.
The EMPDU adopts a split structure, with the main unit and LCD display module independent, facilitating installation and configuration. The device uses a multi-CPU parallel processing distributed bus structure, with the central processing unit exchanging information with each acquisition unit via an internal bus. It can accommodate one central processing module and up to eight acquisition modules. One remote RS485 bus interface, one local maintenance RS232 interface, and an optional Ethernet interface (supporting SNMP protocol).
