American Standard Armored Removable AC Metal-Enclosed Switchgear


Indoor high-voltage vacuum switchgear (hereinafter referred to as switchgear) is a three-phase AC 50/60Hz, rated voltage 1KV-40.5kV indoor complete power distribution device. It is used in power plants, substations, and industrial and mining enterprises for receiving and distributing electrical energy, playing a role in circuit control, protection, and detection. It can also be used in locations with frequent operation.


Indoor high-voltage vacuum switchgear is a three-phase rated 630A-5000A, 50/60Hz, rated voltage 1KV-40.5kV indoor complete power distribution device. It is used in power plants, substations, and industrial and mining enterprises for receiving and distributing electrical energy, playing a role in circuit control, protection, and detection. It can also be used in locations with frequent operation. The switchgear meets relevant certification standards of ETL, UL, CE, CSA, and IEC. It features interlocking functions to prevent the circuit breaker from closing when the grounding switch is in the closed position, to prevent accidental opening and closing of the circuit breaker, to prevent the circuit breaker trolley from being pushed and pulled under load, to prevent accidental entry into a live compartment, and to prevent accidental closing of the grounding switch while energized.


Its main features include a metal-enclosed, pin-mounted, removable cabinet design, and the use of a new type of fully composite insulated vacuum circuit breaker inside. The cabinet adopts an assembled structure, giving the product advantages such as an aesthetically pleasing appearance, high precision in the fit between the trolley and the cabinet, and good interchangeability. The trolley moves within the cabinet via a screw and nut cranking device, which is convenient and labor-saving. Short-circuit breaking current: 25/31.5/40/50kA. The switchgear is designed according to the American standard for armored metal-enclosed switchgear. It consists of a cabinet and a withdrawable section (i.e., the trolley). The cabinet shell and partitions of each functional unit are made of aluminum-zinc coated sheet, CNC machined and bent, then connected with rivet nuts and high-strength bolts. This eliminates deviations caused by welding and human factors, ensuring dimensional accuracy. The cabinet is divided into four separate compartments, with an IP4X protection rating.


This switchgear features overhead and cable entry/exit configurations, and can be arranged and combined to form various power distribution systems. Lightweight and economical, the vacuum contactor cabinet is primarily used for switching motors, transformers, and capacitor loads, and is widely used in the nuclear power market. The vacuum contactors (V7/ZVC) equipped in the switchgear can be operated frequently, have an electrical life of up to 100,000 cycles, and exhibit low operating overvoltage.


As an air-insulated, metal-enclosed switchgear, it features an extremely compact cabinet design, with a width of only 1200 mm. It possesses robust mechanical interlocking to prevent misoperation, high structural strength, and can withstand internal arc faults up to 50 kA/1 s.


The design is flexible, allowing for direct splicing with medium-voltage switchgear, and cable entry/exit configurations with bottom or top entry into the cabinet. This cabinet type has undergone comprehensive type testing according to IEC standards and has passed nuclear-grade certification.
